Strawberries

 Last year I planted strawberries. I've never grown strawberries before. Last year my neighbor gave me those starts you get from Walmart. Then I bought more from the Mennonites. They went crazy. I pulled many last fall, I gave starts to two neighbor friends. And still the bed is full. 

I noticed they were beginning to ripen and the bugs were eating every ripe one I found. But today I checked, and ta da. Berries. Sweet, warmed by the sun. Yum.

Kip helped me taste test them. 

They stayed all night with me. Played in the creek on the back of the property, rode bikes (Kip learned to pedal), friends came over. A good time was had.

And he is, most days
