Two Down, One to Go

 I've been dragging my feet about starting a new rug. I have not been inspired. I look at primitive rug sites, I look at Pinterest, I look at all the lovelies Saundra has posted, I look it my stash. Nothing. So I've been binding those rugs that sit on the corner waiting for me. 

I finished Sherry's Bouquet using my usual technique where about 3/4" of the binding shows on the front. I have only recently begun to use one long strip of wool and ease around the corners.

My second finish is Bittersweet and Pumpkin. I still used a continuous wool strip, but carefully sewed it right next to the edge of the rug and turned everything under. Hmm. It's alright, but not my fav. 

It's cool here in Ohio. The past two mornings I've turned on some heat just to warm up the house. I can't ever remember having to use the furnace in August. 

I'm sure it'll be warm again. It does make for nice days to work outside. I'm trying to get a few chores done before the cold sets in for good. 

Sometimes I think why bother? The aliens will be here in November.
