I Worried So

I put off finishing this rug because I thought zigzagging the edges would be a nightmare. I need not have worried. It took me just a couple of hours to hook two rows of border and less than 10 minutes to zigzag around it.

The machine was a champ. I like this Brother machine, but I loved the Baby Lock I had before.

The five foot table also helped make this chore easier. This is a table from 1954 when my parents built their house. It's moved many times with me.

Bright summery quilts for the kid's beds. I enjoyed making each of these. While I prefer the dull "primitive" colors, the kids do not. In my sewing room is a cupboard of brights and a cupboard of reproduction fabrics. Lots of fabric.

And lastly, Tuesdays with, no not Maurie, Tuesdays with Kip.

The grass is getting so long, the weeds even more so. It has just rained so much this year. I read where the sun and rain have made for a bumper crop of dandelions this year.

I passed another yard and thought it needed mowed so bad. Mac was in the backseat and said, "Grandma, did you see all those wishes?"

It's all in your perspective of things.
