I used to put those feeders out about April 15th each year. But the ants have no problem finding and getting into the liquid ruining it for the hummingbirds. But did enjoy seeing them when they came to feed. Sometimes a hummingbird would pause in front of me when I was outside to let me know they needed fresh food.
I love seeing them. Cannot wait for them to be back here. Janice

ReplyDeleteI can't put a feeder out we have naughty bears, and it collects ants too.
ReplyDeleteBut they do come around my flowers in the summer which is nice.
