It's only 38' and snow is in the forecast. But I have flowers blooming.
And inside I hung my "springy"rugs.
Today is Sunday dinner. My dil is making the main meal, which means I'm to make the dessert. I'm making apple crisp and it smells so wonderful as it is baking. While I was preparing the apples I noticed that some of the seeds inside the apple had sprouted. That's a first for me. I had to look it up to make sure I could still use the apples. It's called vivipary. It happens sometimes when the apples are stored in a warm spot. And y'all know I like to keep my house nice and toasty. 74' is about just right.

Mighty fine garden you've got there. And yes, it's been a while since I've made apple crisp and it does make the house smell yummy. Also a great spring rug show.
ReplyDeleteI bet the hyacinth smell heavenly. The primrose are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteFun springy rugs. I hooked that Maggie B rug, too.
Apple crisp. Yum! I had never heard of an apple seed sprouting in an up uncut apple. Are you going to plant it?
