Two.
I have two rug camps coming up next week. The first one is through the Crooked River rug hooking guild. They are bringing in Jennie Smallridge, of Wooly Horse, for a "scrappy" rug. It will be hooked with wools and various alternative materials, and then dipped into a walnut bath. Hmm. Two things I've never done.
I chose the chicken pattern.
This is my basket of alternative fabrics. I've yet to pack the wool. I put in some yarn, velvet, paisley, homespun, T-shirt and pot holder loops.
Sounds like a very fun class. Plus my friend Lauren will be there too.
Then I go to Millersburg Ohio for a class with Kris Miller of Spruce Ridge Rug Hooking. I will miss the first day because of the other class. In Kris' class I'm hooking a pumpkin. It's a Sally Reuter pattern I picked up last year in Shipshewana Indiana at that hook-in. I am all packed for that Kris' class.
Have fun at your hooking classes. Love the patterns you chose. Janice
ReplyDeleteYou will LOVE your Snapdragon frame. Did you buy the metal 'big foot' floor stand or another stand?
ReplyDeleteYou are so much more organized than I am and I only have one class coming up!!! I haven't decided on colors yet, so haven't started looking for what to bring. I especially love that second chicken inspiration piece.
ReplyDeleteSee you soon ;-)
Well lucky you that first class sounds so interesting! Looking forward to seeing your piece.
