Not One, but Two

 Two.

I have two rug camps coming up next week. The first one is through the Crooked River rug hooking guild. They are bringing in Jennie Smallridge, of Wooly Horse, for a "scrappy" rug. It will be hooked with wools and various alternative materials, and then dipped into a walnut bath. Hmm. Two things I've never done.

I chose the chicken pattern.

These are my inspiration photos.

This is my basket of alternative fabrics. I've yet to pack the wool. I put in some yarn, velvet, paisley, homespun, T-shirt and pot holder loops.

Sounds like a very fun class. Plus my friend Lauren will be there too.

Then I go to Millersburg Ohio for a class with Kris Miller of Spruce Ridge Rug Hooking. I will miss the first day because of the other class. In Kris' class I'm hooking a pumpkin. It's a Sally Reuter pattern I picked up last year in Shipshewana Indiana at that hook-in. I am all packed for that Kris' class.

I am so excited. And.. This is a big and, I'm getting a new to me Snapdragon frame with a floor frame. I haven't received it yet, but I'm hoping it'll be GREAT. Years ago I messaged the man that made those frames. He was quitting so I missed getting one back then. I remember he told me there wasn't much of a demand for them. And they have a  copyright.

  2. You will LOVE your Snapdragon frame. Did you buy the metal 'big foot' floor stand or another stand?

  3. You are so much more organized than I am and I only have one class coming up!!! I haven't decided on colors yet, so haven't started looking for what to bring. I especially love that second chicken inspiration piece.
    See you soon ;-)
