Through the years hearts have been a favorite to use as a pattern. I have hooked many a heart. I do not label my rugs. I should, but I don't. So I'll do my best to remember.
This is an antique adaptation of a rug I saw on Saundra of Woodland Junction's site. It turned out fine, but a bit too bright for my liking. This hangs on the wall of the grands bedroom.
This one I love. It is usually on the floor in front of the fireplace/wood stove. I love the muted colors. It is a pattern from The Woolley Fox called Tennessee Hearts. I think I bought this from Barbara Carroll when she still had her retreats at her home.
This is just a tiny piece, maybe 4" x 12". I think it was in Rug Hooking Magazine, years ago. It only comes out seasonally to celebrate Valentine's Day.
This is my favorite rug of all. ❤️❤️❤️
I believe I saw this on Saundra's blog also. It's an antique reproduction of a basket of geraniums. There are hearts in the borders. Again, very muted colors. I really enjoy a hit and miss. This rug resides on the floor beside my bed. It has gotten lots of use.
I think this is a Maggie Bonanomi pattern, called Settler's Pride. It was a paper pattern I purchased from a cute little shop in Amish county.
I hope your day is wonderful.

Wonderful beautiful pieces. So glad you keep them out to enjoy. Janice
ReplyDeleteWOW! Love the changes you did to the first rug adding a mouse, two cats and bunny. The antique floral is also AWESOME! I have the Settler's Pride pattern and have never hooked it yet. Also like the other hooked heart rugs you did. Good post!
ReplyDeleteI really like the Maggie Bonanomi pattern rug. You did a great job on it.
ReplyDeleteI love the colors. Very soothing and easy on the eyes. I'm not one for bright colors although they are needed some time.
Take care .
Julia
Such wonderful rugs! Did you get your heart pattern enlarged?
ReplyDeleteForgot to mention...one of these days I want to hook Tennessee Hearts. I did a punch needle version years ago, but gave it away.
