Marley, my 14 year old Shetland Sheepdog, died March 3, 2022. I miss him greatly. I've been unable to blog since then. He'd been failing for over a year and I finally made the decision to put him down. and oh, do I feel guilty. I feel like I led him to his death. I know he was failing, he was mostly blind, couldn't hear well either. So if he wandered off I'd have to search for him. Sometimes he'd look at me with such relief, like, oh there you are. He started being incontinent. And it became difficult for him to eat.
My other dog, Henry, misses him too. Henry doesn't have Marley to play with anymore. This too shall pass, in the meantime, I am sad.
