Things are a bloomin!!
Are these daffodils? Or narcissus?
Pansies sprouting from last years plants. So tiny, so cute.
More daffodils getting ready.
Native azalea. It's orange and very pretty.
The ranch.
And summer kitchen.
Lots of pine trees here.
Barking at the neighbor's dog. Can't see it, but sure can hear it. Yappy little thing.
And for a change, not barking at the neighbor's dog.
Tonight I'm off for a week long mission trip in Honduras. It's expected to be in the high 80s all week.

Rug Camp is Over
But what a good time it was. This was at the end of camp. I got quite a bit accomplished and should be able to finish it up lickity split. I showed it to the dogs. They were not impressed.

More Rug Camp
Camp is almost over. It was great to see old friends and make some new ones too. This will be a really short post, as it's late and I'm tired. Rug so far at end of day 3.

Rug Hooking Camp
I'm having such a good time. I enjoy seeing everyone's rugs they are working on. Each day progress is made, so each day the piece becomes more beautiful. I've been working on two different pieces. My main rug is two dogs that have been tweaked to look like my two dogs. It's an antique adaptation called, " A Friendly Confrontation. "

Bringing Home the Christmas Tree
This is a Lori Holt pattern from her Vintage Christmas book. I was able to finish it the week before Christmas. I love these old cars.
I didn't have quite enough fabric for the back, so I pieced it, adding the title of the quilt. This was my first attempt at letters. My inspiration for this was Jo Kramer's blog. And it worked. My letters are only 3 1/2" tall, next time I'll make them larger.
I'm currently working on two different Bonnie Hunter quilts. The first is wildchild. Again inspired by Jo. The second is Bonnie's mystery quilt. I got behind on clue #4, and I'm not happy with my color green. I'm still looking for a better green. Or not green. I haven't decided. So I just keep putting it off. I think that's called procrastination. Lol.

It's a brand new year
2020 has arrived. Time just seems to go sooooo fast. Time went fast as a young girl, then as a young mother. I remember thinking that as I got older ( and therefore, less to do), that time wouldn't go by so quickly. It just seems to go by even faster. Blink! I'm in my 60s.
The rug above is by Kelly Bellfast of Kankerdoodle. She sold this pattern last year, and all I've done so far is to get it to linen. It's the piece I plan to work on when I'm at rug hooking camp and waiting my turn with the teacher, Kris Miller. Two more weeks. I'm excited to see my friends, and to make another great memory.
I had also planned to go on a mission trip to Honduras later in January, but I don't think it's going to work out. The group going had already purchased their tickets and got a good price at $550. The same flight now is $2200. So,, as I said, I don't think I'll be going. There's always next year, if I'm still in Georgia. A couple from church asked about buying it. We'll see. I'm not holding my breath.
Have a great day! Sue
